Incision less Procedure for Acid Reflux/GERD

Surgeons form Bolton Medical College are using incision less alternative to traditional surgery and laparoscopic treatment for acid reflux of GERD  Surgeon are using the new procedure called EsophyX TIF (Transoral Incisionless Fundaplication) according to them they can repair the valve between the esophagus and stomach which effectively stop GERD.  GERD is gastro esophageal reflex disease also referred as chronic heartburn, is reflux of the content of the stomach to the esophagus which impact daily life and even leads to esophagus damage. This is the common disease worldwide. In GERD a valve between the esophagus and stomach weakened or absent allowing backflow of acidic juice to the esophagus. Using the EsophyX, BMC surgeons are able to pass a surgical instrument together with an endoscope through a patient’s mouth and tighten or repair the valve without making any incision into skin. Compared to previous traditional surgery and laparoscopic treatment EsophyX, BMC required less anesthesia and experience less complication
